About the Moon Runners' wolfpack.
This pack was first formed two years ago. It was formed by SilverNite and LunaWolf as a result of tyranny in a nearby pack. All went well for a few months, and then bad times came. Slowly, the Moon Runners just disappeared. Night promised to bring them back. Thus, the Rolling Stones were born. The name was based on "free wanderer" and a rolling stone is a free wanderer, and we are the Union of Free Wanderrs, so the name just fit. After the pack grew strong, we changed our name too Moon Runners. And now we are the Moon Runners.
A few people took note of the way packs on the net were working. Alphas were King and Queen, Betas the little spoiled Princes and Princesses. That's not what a pack is supposed to be. The Alphas serve the pack, not vice-versa. They can also be impeached, of course. Alphas live for the pack, and the pack lives for itself. Everyone knows that.
Our pack was formed on the idea that all should have an equal say-so in pack matters. Everyone, regardless of rank, will have a vote in pack decisions. Everyone, regardless of their past, has a right to assessment. Everyone, regardless of their species, can visit our clearing.
We were also formed on the idea that a pack should be in all ways a family. Not just a family by relation, but at heart. We should love each other as brother and sister. The Moon Runners are back. NightWhisper searches for the family she lost, as SunWlf, so long ago. Join us and we shall rebuild what has fallen.
Our pack works as this: the one who formed our pack, Night Whisper, is Alpha. Her vote is the final vote. All decisions must be passed through her for agreement. The Beta who Night Whisper appointed is S|ayer^Wo|f. When Night Whisper is not present, S|ayer^Wo|f is in charge. If Slayer^Wolf or Night Whisper are not present, the guardians(gammas) are in charge. If the guardians, alpha, or beta are not present, the enforcer or elder is in charge. If none of those wolves are in charge, then the hunt leader is in command. If no council members are present, then the high est ranking member(s) are in charge. The Guardians appointed are MoRdOc and bearclaw. MoRdOc and bearclaw make sure there is peace in the clearing. The appointed rule enforcer is Scythe Claw. If you are kicked by Scythe Claw, do not question the authority. He knows his job.
When a decision is made, it is voted on. If the majority of the pack votes that it be made final, it becomes final. Voting does not have to be unanimous. It is a majority thing.
Ranking(Highest to lowest): Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Omicron, Sigma, Upsilon, Omega.
Assessment: Assessment lasts anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, two at the most. During this time we get to know the subject, and form our own opinions and whatnot about them. Initiation occurs one to two weeks after assessment begins. The pack will vote whether or not the subject should be allowed to join. If it is a majority, he/she will take the oath and become an official member.
Freedom of Speech: EVERYONE has the right to speak their mind. Critisism is allowed--constructive critisism. You can say whatever you wish as long as it is respectful. All pack members and non-pack members are to be given the right to say what they feel about matters. If you deny someone this "right" you'll be denied your privelege of speaking freely. The punishment shall fit the crime.
Be friendly towards all people in the clearing. No biting, scratching, insulting, or whatever allowed. Treat others the way you'd wish to be treated. How would you like it if I came up to you, raked my claws across your muzzle, and said "Hey, bitch, shut the hell up!" ? I didn't think you'd like that too much. So why would anyone else like it, eh? Resolution: Don't start nothin', won't be nothin'!
